Thrive Hotel is a concept we are creating to fill a growing need in the world. It is a place of rest, relaxation and rejuvenation for families with children on the autism spectrum and other unique challenges. It is a place of rest for EVERYONE.

Enough research shows that it is clear that caregivers need more support. It’s like being on an airplane with your child and putting your own oxygen mask first before assisting your child with their mask. However, in the world of a special needs parent, this protocol is often reversed. In the day to day chaos of managing a household and the needs of a child with autism, caregivers are typical spread so thin that they neglect their own self care. And when they do think about taking time off to relax with their family, it seems like an impossible feat considering the grueling efforts and compromises they would need to make to accommodate their special needs child.

DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAMS
Thrive is an Autism-Friendly hotel. We offer a variety of programs for children of all ages, and of all developmental levels. Each program is designed to entertain, inspire and delight your kids, so parents can go off and enjoy a meltdown-free vacation.

Speech therapy sessions in the form of 1:1 or group play
Son-Rise Fun Day
A day of “joining” with frequent breaks in between adapted from the official Son-Rise program developed by the Autism Center of America
Motor Skills Mashup
Parallel and/or joint play with toys catered to develop your child’s specific motor skills needs
I feel Alive
In this session, we observe what lights up your child through interactive play. Then we find lasting ways to bring more of that aliveness to them
Dinner with Friends
Social skills and manners taught in a fun dinner setting when all kids are sitting around the round table
Sensory Adventures
A day in our sensory room with free time as well as guided exercises to enhance your child’s specific needs including desensitizing exercises so they can live a fuller life
Animal Therapy
Your child works with their favorite type of animal to develop their sense of safety, and their ability to connect with others
